Fear and the monkey mind are always conspiring to rob us of our dreams… and this is how the Concorde stayed grounded for more than two decades.
Fearful bureaucrats, government ministers on both sides of the channel, and utterly fearful airline executives halted and killed the CONCORDE supersonic airplane in 2003.
Yet, after taking a long hard look — I revived it…
Today I can safely claim that the Concorde is alive & well.
Overcoming the ordinary FUDs and the anxieties of everyone around — I can safely say that the New Concorde is born.
If you’ve ever done anything worthwhile with your life — you know that it takes balls to get started on the path of Innovation in order to “birth” anything that the World has not seen.
And for two decades that is the story of the Concorde:
Dead as a doornail and consigned to Museums of Flight all around the World.
And today, during these most unsettled times, people wonder how can I take the Concorde to the skies when the Earth is burning…
Here is how I answer the gloom & doom-sayers:
The more potent are our fears, uncertainties and doubts, that cause the anxious and even panicky feelings, that stop us in our tracks whenever we want to do something utterly creative, novel, monomaniacal and unusual — our own mind robs us from the capacity to decide to move forth & achieve that which could make us uniquely successful, and bring us the privilege of innovation leadership, and the necessary recognition and public acclamation for our extraordinary achievements.
Take as an example today when the New President the 47th gets inaugurated and that simple transition of Power has people up in arms, or crying in their cups, but nothing in between.
The reactions of the people today, remind me of when a natural disaster strikes, and it gets completely out of control, like the current devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, and people take to dramatic outbursts, not knowing how to really act. The arsonists delight, and the homeowners are crying. Same like the Presidential transition of power…
So the “arsonists” indulge in unprecedented & utterly dramatic reactions that emanate out of their out of control fears, that trigger far more than an immediate reaction, and a whole backlog if not a whole library of anxiety is invoked, much of it stemming from the misinformation, erroneous belief systems, the lockdowns of the recent Covid pandemic, and the chicken little screaming loudly about a hypothetical, potential, and as of yet unseen, yet always described by idiotic fake news, as “looming” ecological disaster.
Naturally, if these triggers are powerful enough, it is hard for anyone, or anything to override the voice of fear that is starting to emanate inside all of us.
And immediately, all of us are forced to adapt to its presence.
Yet, I fail to see how do the scared people can adapt to anxiety besides taking Xanax, or even stronger tranquilizers?
Today some politically insane people need horse tranquilizers in dart form, coming out of the gun of a zookeeper, because psychologically, they are losing their “shitte.”
Ordinarily, the two most common ways of dealing with FUDs, are denial and distraction. Because by ignoring your Fears, Uncertainties, & Doubts, or by fooling your FUDs, panic & anxieties, or by simply doing something that takes your mind off it, you might find a measure of temporary relief.
But is there something more permanent and effective?
Can you get this fear, anxiety, and doubt, and the resulting panic, the unwelcome guest to leave you alone ?
Yes.
You can easily do it, and the simple secret is to make conscious choices that cause fear to shrink away, simply because you recognize that you no longer need it.
Fear being, a holdover from our early evolution — is rooted in the freeze, fight, or flight response.
Fear that robs you of your powerful creative instincts, fear of It lies in wait, fear that is always ready to spring into action, as it did for our hominid ancestors over a million years ago — stops you cold in your tracks from going after your Moonshot dreams, that for me is the CONCORDE manufacture, and the Coing that leverages the Age of Supersonic Aviation.
Yet, I went ahead and did it because I know that for the last ten thousand years, my higher brain has evolved, and that represents a physical embodiment of something far more advanced and SapioHuman critical function:
I am speaking about our awareness of infinite resources of imagination, creativity, thoughts, strategic feelings, tactical creativity, and choice-making.
Yes.
Indeed, we have evolved to make it possible to be set free from primal fear.
All we have to do is to choose the path of consciousness.
Free Will was endowed upon us from our maker and therefore it is our willful decision that we must choose to “wake up.”
Thus, becoming fearless is accomplished with every step of our waking up, and doing things that nobody else has ever done.
Such as DOING THE CONCORDE.
Because to make the right choices in anxious times, you need to be conscious of what fear is doing to you.
And since fear is a form of stress – you can choose to release this stress anytime you want out into the Ether.
And I can tell you right here how to experience this, because you only need your conscious mind, your body, your inner self and a comfortable place to sit or to lie down, preferably on an old comfy chair, on a cushion on the floor, on a flat rock, or even anywhere else in Nature, such as outside on the wintry grass.
Close your eyes and try to make sense of yourself. Dig deep inside of you and start becoming deeply relaxed, breathe easy, and continue for 5 to 10 minutes. Once you get there to that easy feeling — now sink into that relaxed feeling… and enjoy for as long as you like.
Start visualizing the problem you want to resolve. Stay in the feeling…
Notice that you feel relaxed and in control.
Remember this feeling.
Anytime in the day, if anxiety comes calling, go back into this feeling. The state of relaxed alertness is the basis for effectively reaching a place inside that is free of fear in a natural, effortless way.
Please remember this:
FEAR IS TEMPORARY – REGRET IS FOREVER
After all, you only die once — so what’s the diff?
Yet, even though modern life makes room for many external rewards, it only allows for very few inner rewards. A stark fact in modern life is that more money, power, status, and position don’t bring inner fulfillment. Inner fulfillment is found along a different path.
The path of the warrior monk, the path of the lonely Leader, and the path of the unheralded Innovator.
As it turns out — in ancient China, life presented two paths, the path of pleasure and the path of wisdom. Every wisdom tradition, East and West, is based on waking up, which means in practice getting over your unconscious behaviors and adopting conscious behaviors instead.
You participate in your own evolution, which is how wisdom awakens.
In time, as wisdom becomes your inner reference point, the voice of fear will be entirely overridden. You’re already starting by confronting how fear works. You are waking up to discover that fear doesn’t have to be in charge. You might not think of this as wisdom, but it is. Every moment of inner wisdom is simply a moment of becoming more conscious and aware.
Being an unconscious force — fear cannot defeat awareness.
I again want to underline the effectiveness of taking 5 to 10 minutes to breathe out stress and breathe in relaxation may not seem like much in an anxiety-ridden world, but such small steps reassert control over your personal reality, lessening the grip of fear and uncertainty.
Once you conquer your fears — then you can go on to create amazing things like the CONCORDE supersonic airplane…
Grand moments of our life are rife with risk…

Today, I can share with You that the Concorde is alive…
What started as a simple exchange amongst scientists, physicists and many Aerospace engineers, in 2003 — it unexpectedly became something extraordinary — a glimpse at what felt like itself, the creative volition for the New Concorde to be birthed all over again.
The turning point came during a conversation in my dinner with friends, at my London home, back in 2003 where I asked:
What would you do if you wanted to take Concorde back up to the skies?
The collective response took me by surprise: REIMAGINE the engineering… free of government interference, and go build it like building a modern engineering tech Cathedral…
I understood then that we all wanted to create something that could endure.
So, I decided to see what would happen if I started this Concorde project, all over again…
That was back in 2003 when after 9/11, after the Paris accident, and the Oil crisis — the Concorde was downed and stopped from flying.
And then, what followed was an adventure that has left me breathless — two decades later, running forward, always following that Vision, and staying happy, because finally, we are building it again.
Central to the story is the Concorde as a character that seemed to embody the Physics of solving the Sonic Boom (Got Patent), Great Engineering Design, Sustainability, Supersonic Engines, Robots & AI, dedicated engineers, all together combining an identity that mirrors the deeply human search for meaning and purpose of our existence:
Are we seekers of meaning, or is the search itself the meaning?
This was extraordinary in and of itself, but when I was asked what it felt like to take this journey — I felt like the Concorde being the Cathedral building that I’ve been looking for and that is why today, I invite all of you to participate in this incredible project.
Was this all, a multi-decade engineering, science & technology effort, or just a glimpse of Physics turning AeroSpace engineering into a machine that can safely fly passengers literally back in time ?
I don’t know. But I know that it made me think differently — about creativity, connection, and the boundaries between human interfaces and flying machines.
Yours,
Dr Churchill

7 Types of Laziness (and Their Cure)
1. Confusion:
“I don’t know what to do.”
The Cure: Start small. Take the first step and learn as you go. Mistakes are part of the process!
2. Fear:
“I simply can’t.”
The Cure: Think back to times when you overcame similar fears. Use those successes as motivation to start.
3. Fixed Mindset:
“I’m afraid of failing or looking foolish.”
The Cure: Shift to a growth mindset. Mistakes are opportunities to learn. Improvement comes with effort.
4. Tiredness:
“I’m too tired. I don’t have energy.”
The Cure: Begin with a small task.
Momentum builds energy – movement creates motivation.
5. Lack of Interest:
“I don’t care about anything.”
The Cure: Reflect on what genuinely excites you and connect it to your current responsibilities.
6. Regret:
“I’m too old to start. It’s too late.”
The Cure: It’s never too late to improve.
Every day is a fresh chance to grow and achieve.
7. Identity:
“I’m a lazy person.”
The Cure: Challenge that label. Laziness is a behavior, not a fixed identity. You can change it.
