The smart subset of those who have visited this place of inequity, know well enough that the sinners go to hell where the company can be bit more bouncy, exciting, and downright immoral…
Do you recognize this place ?

Meanwhile in the world of Computer Science and Software Development — we have the new “AI will eat the world” scare of resources… as all the large language models are hitting a wall at breakneck speed.
Clearly all the top AI companies are “seeing diminishing returns from their costly efforts to build newer models,” according to all business majors with Bloomberg confirming that trend as well.
Even Google and most other realists agree too.
Examples such as OpenAI’s forthcoming Orion model, which hasn’t met the company’s hopes when it comes to writing computer code, prove the point because that thing is broken.
Google says the same about ing the next version of Google’s Gemini model, which is “not living up to expectations” either.
And even a stodgy Bloomberg reports that AI is toast, but they say so in very measured polite words, that speak to the fact that the party is over.
No biggie, because like so many other fads coming out of Silicon Valley that has now become more like a Back Street “Alley” like the infamous “Soy Cowboy” where all drunks are rolled and fleeced, and worse getting some preparation H, in the wrong end of their sex appeal — be careful when her name is LANA, because if you spell it backwards you are bound to feel it.
Now that the days of AI threatening to “Eat the World” are over, after the little time of her being the new shinny star crossing the night sky — she sizzled and flamed out faster than a wet squib bouncing all around.
Today, the inquisitive Bloomberg says that the current AI debacle calls into question the “scaling law,” which posits that bigger models, using more computing power and trained on more data, inevitably make leaps in performance. In particular, there is concern that, though models now under development were fed much more text and other data than the previous generation of models, the high quality data was largely exhausted by the earlier generations of development.
And I say that the vastly diminishing Venture Capital returns, from the collection of their AI investments — fully justify that I got out of that mess at the peak of all AI companies’ valuations.
I am being reassured of the correctness of my actions, because collectively VCs have invested upwards of THREE TRILLION USDs — US $ 3 T Dollars — into all things AI, and have gotten meagre returns of less than $ 30 Billion USD.
How’s that for eating crow legs and drinking your own Cool Aid ?
Naturally the proud and unnaturally vacuous programers suffering from the known disease of Software Programmer Arrogance, that especially hits hard the Indian specimens of this profession — are all now taking to strong drink, not whiskey and cigars thank God, but marijuana vodka that is the rage in Silicon Valley and goes well with your tea infused wood alcohol prevalent in India.
They justify their debauchery by claiming that they run out o data.
Imagine that…
The arrogant bastards come to me crying and saying that once they’ve spent all the money we have given them on vacuuming up virtually the entire fund of human knowledge, they run out of raw materials.
Of course in terms of Human Intelligence the pickings are slim, judging by their example of wind inside their cranial cavities, but we have loads of “synthetic” data.
Yet our agile and arrogant programmers claim falsely again, that the data produced by the large language models themselves and then used for training aren’t sufficiently robust to pick up the slack.
Yet I say, that this wouldn’t mean a dead end for AI progress or even, necessarily, a slowing of it, but simply that all of you Fools, have lost your bundle and now must go out raise a new one.
Yours,
Dr Churchill
PS:
Good Luck with that one, and let me now how it worked out for you.
But if you are raising a New Fund for BI, then ping me and I might drop a few bobs in the kitty, because I truly believe that Blended Intelligence is the Future as it always has been.
BI has quietly been creeping along and like all great technologies remains under the radar until fully mature.
Cheers to the onslaught of BI and the premature death of AI, whose RIP tribute swan call was recently sung by none other than Eric Schmidt in far more polite words than mine…
Way to go Eric — you can always be the Superman to save Silicon Valley but there are some new contenders applying for the job of Superman and in this DEA age — they’ve got boobies, ergo a significant advantage over you.
Cheers

Can you please observe the Van Gogh style sunrise by paying attention to the orange circular orb in the sky ?
Or is your space continuum attention focused on discerning orbs somewhere else ?
Just asking for scientific purposes…
